CENTRAL Arunachal TOUR (13 Days)
Day 01: Delhi or Kolkata/ Guwahati: Assistance on arrival and drive to Kaziranga National Park and halt.

Day 02: Kaziranga/ Itanagar: (290 kms/ 6hrs): Early morning elephant safari to watch the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros and wild fowl. Later back

to Resort have breakfast and drive to Itanagar, the state capital of Arunachal Pradesh. On arrival visit State Museum and halt at Itanagar.

Day 03: Itanagar/ Ziro (1500 mtrs/ 5000ft.): Morning visit to Mahayana and Hinayana Buddhist monastery, local market, later drive to Ziro, the district headquarter of Lower Subansiri district, and the home of the Apatani tribe. Overnight stay at Ziro.

Day 04: Ziro/ Local visits: On this day, one will learn about the unique Apatani culture which is different from all the other tribes. When walking through Hong, Hija, Bula, Hari or Dutta villages, one will see the rows of houses and entering the houses as a welcome guest one will learn to know the people. Especially the face tattoos and the big nose plugs of the women will immediately catch one’s eye. Overnight halt.

Day 05: Ziro/ Daporijo (160 kms/ 7hrs): Early morning drive to Daporijo. Enroute visit Nyishi and Tagin tribal villages. Overnight Local House/ Govt. Lodge.

Day 06: Daporijo/ Aalo: (178 kms/ 6-7hrs): Morning drive to Aalo, visit Galo village on the way. Aalo the district headquarter of West Siang district situated on the south of Siyom River. Afternoon visit the museum, Craft centre and the Donyi Polo Dere (Animist tribal temple). Overnight Circuit House/ Hotel.

Day 07: Aalo/ Komsing (38 kms and 3 hrs trek): Early morning drive to Pangin near Siang river, trek to Komsing village by crossing over the Siang river on a locally made suspension bridge. Komsing is a historical village of Adi-Minyong tribe. Epitaph/ memorial stone in memory of Sir Noël Williamson who died in 1911 exist here. Overnight stay in Local House.

Day 08: Komsing/ Yingkiong: (82kms/ 3 ½ hrs drive): Morning after breakfast trek back to Pangin and continue drive to Yingkiong, the district headquarter of Upper Siang District. Drive along the Siang River all the way to Yingkiong. Yingkiong is situated in the bank of River Siang, ( Known as Brahmaputra River in Assam), enroute visit Adi-Minyong tribal villages. Afternoon visit the local market and halt at Yingkiong.

Day 09: Yingkiong/ Damro: After breakfast drive to the largest village in the area inhabited by Adi-Padam tribes, on arrival visit the local house, interact with local people. O/n Local House.

Day 10: Damro/ Pasighat: Morning drive to Pasighat, visit few Adi villages on the way. Cross River Siang on ferry. Have lunch, afternoon visit the district Museum, Craft centre, Local Market. O/night halt in Pasighat.

Day 11: Pasighat/ Aohali/ Mebo/ Pasighat: Morning visit the village of Aohali of Idu-Mishmi tribe afternoon lunch at Mebo village, village tour. Late afternoon drive back to Pasighat and halt.

Day 12: Pasighat/ Dibrugarh: Morning depart for the Ghat (shore) to take the ferry ride across Brahmaputra to reach Dibrugarh. The leisurely cruise for 05 – 06 hours along the river gives an insight to the visitors on how the fisherman families live in Assam. On arrival continue drive to Dibrugarh. O/night stay in hotel.

Day 13: Dibrugarh/ Delhi or Kolkata:
Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the Mohanbari airport for flight to Delhi or Kolkata.
